600 Rep Challenge

March 7, 2018

With a snow day here in New Jersey, it’s easy to take the lazy route and sit on the couch in my pjs, watching Netflix and snuggle up to my little one. However, with a bigger goal in mind, I took advantage of my little ones nap time this morning and challenged myself with this awesome (and exhausting) workout.

Adapted from what I know can be found in the CrossFit world (which I’ve never participated in but am interested in), I stuck to basic movements and used what was available to me. Giving myself 45 minutes max to complete this challenge, I was able to take breaks when needed and chip away each round until finished.

What you will need:

  • Kettlebell (make sure whatever weight you use will allow you keep shoulders back and back straight as you reach hinged position).
  • Slam ball (again, make sure weight is challenging yet appropriate. Goal here is to keep explosive movement while maintaining core stability-aka don’t arch back while picking up)
  • ** if these items are not available to you, feel free to substitute swings for air squats and burpees for slams**
